At a tender age of four, a car hit Gregory and his life would had ended, but the Lord had a plan for his life. As the sixth child of Apostle Nehemiah and Wilhelmina Rhinehart, he was raised in a Godly home with Godly principles.
Under the teaching of his parents, he has served in various ministries in the church, Solid Rock Junior Usher Board, the Youth Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Pastor, Executive Administrator to his Pastor/Father and the ministerial staff, Choir Director, the Executive Administrator for the Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Churches Ministries, Affiliated Churches of North America Inc., and ultimately becoming the Assistant Pastor of the Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Church Ministries International, Inc. (Headquarter) in 2009. Working under the guidance and leadership of the Lord and his parents, he continues to grow in love and knowledge of the word.
Elder Gregory has a love for the people of God, which is shown in his commitment, dedication, communication and attitude in life, and the work of the Father. As a Participative Leader, he considers various opinions in reaching consensus on situations. His quote is “One Team, One Fight, We all Win” meaning as we seek God we are all ensured to have pleased the Father, even if this means man does not understand.
Elder Gregory’s proven leadership has aided Solid Rock by standing with and beside his Pastor and most recently in the role of Assistant Pastor. The Lord is elevating Elder Gregory to be the new Senior Pastor of Solid Rock, to continue the good work that had been started with this branch of Zion.
Elder Gregory declared he would marry his childhood sweetheart: “Lady Ivy” at the age of twelve and the Lord has smiled on them to be married for thirty-two years. From their union, they are blessed with five children, Renea (Larry Vaughn II, son-in-law), Robin, Brandi, Brianna, and Gregory and six grandchildren.
Lady Ivy Rhinehart is a native Washingtonian. She attended DC public schools and SC public school. She attended and graduated from Bryant & Stratton Business College in New York.
In 1979, she moved with her mother, Elder Theresa Hawkins and Mother Ollie Cochran to begin a new ministry as Grace Memorial Solid Rock #5 in Columbia, S.C. She played a vital role holding various positions in support of this new ministry.
Lady Ivy’s passion is helping people which has led her to a successful career spanning 30 years as a Senior Health Administrator providing overall management of the Gastroenterology Consultants of DC. Her work includes day-to-day decisions managing staff, finances, patient care, and direct activities in specific clinical areas.
In 2015, with the elevation of her husband, she became the First Lady of the Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Church Ministries International Inc. and the President of the Solid Rock Women’s Ministry. She strives to engage women of all ages to be the best they can be along with aiding in the work of the Lord.
Lady Ivy has a love for God’s people. Lady Ivy lives out John 15:12-13 which states “This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
For thirty-four years, she has been married to the love of her life, Elder Gregory I. Rhinehart. From their union, they are blessed with five children, Renea, Robin, Brandi, Brianna, and Gregory and six grandchildren.
